                    The History

Hope Ministry began it’s journey in the beautiful city of E. St. Louis and the state of Illinois in 2005. While getting on track to this journey, the decision was not an easy one. Some may ask the question, What made the decision of the journey so hard? Pastor Morrow, wrestled with this because he is a native of the state of New Jersey and a resident of the state of Missouri. As you know traveling far sometimes builds a road block to our destiny rather than a bridge. After carefully and intensely seeking the Lord, Pastor came to grips that God was calling him to do a work outside of his community. This is when the vision that God had given began to manifest. Once Hope Ministry arrived in E. St. Louis they immediately became sensitive to the needs of those in the community. Pastor Morrow and Family began to walk the streets witnessing and evangelizing those who were in need. He would often time say we will "Reach the Lost at Any Cost". Pastor began to provide bible studies to those who were drug addicted and alcoholics. He also provided one on one session to those who didn’t feel comfortable in group sessions.  Hope Ministry began to grow. Its population was not the norm when it came to regular church membership, but it was composed of those who were unemployed, uneducated and those who were homeless. Pastor and Hope Ministry began to extend some of it vacant space that it had to those who were homeless and trying to make a change. Later as time progressed the burden to employ, educate and change lives became more and more prevalent and Hope Ministry began to seek God for direction and means of providing opportunities to those who were of the community. This is when the opportunity to educate, employ and change lives became available through the NCLB Law. With this Hope Ministry was able to provide jobs to those who were unemployed, educate students and be apart of direct change in the community. There were many who was able to receive an opportunity of a lifetime by working in the schools tutoring and receiving skills that were able to change their lives and ways of thinking. From then to now Hope Ministry continues to seek ways and avenues to “Transform Lives Through God’s Word”.
